Introduction to R for ecologists

In this workshop series, students learn the ways in which ecologists use R to compile, tidy, visualize, and analyze ecological datasets. In these workshops, I use my training as a Software Carpentry instructor to use evidence-based techniques for teaching scientific programming.

NSF Alliances for Graduate Education and Professoriate California HSI Alliance Fellowship

I was a fellow in the NSF AGEP program at UCSB from 2019 - 2021. Through this program I got training in science-based pedagogy that fosters student success for students from all backgrounds. I co-taught a soil science course with my mentor, Erich Fleming, a faculty member at CSU Channel Islands.
